Christian Spiritual Formation Retreats for Groups
Each retreat is tailored to the specific needs of the group. The retreat time includes a combination of Scripture study, experiential exercises, media, music, small group reflection and individual solitude to help each person grow in their Christian faith towards a mature life with God.
I travel to retreat centers, churches or conferences to provide retreats and speak on a variety of Christian topics as they relate to the spiritual formation of of individuals and communities. A retreat can be organized for anywhere from one to seven days.
My fee schedule is discussed when an event is booked and includes an honorarium plus expenses.

Possible Retreat Themes:
Knowing God’s Peace
There are many things in our daily lives that we allow to rob us of God’s peace. Retreat participants are encouraged to look at their image of God, self-esteem, fears, worry, busyness or anything that is robbing them of God's peace. They are then provided with tools to build a life that allows God’s peace to be experienced more fully.
To Live Is Christ
It is difficult to have our lives full of Christ if it is already full of other things. The first thing we do in this retreat is to de-clutter our lives. Then we move through the topics of being aware of God’s presence, the work of renovation that God desires to do within us, what’s involved in following Jesus and developing rhythms in our life that help us live more Christlike lives.
Breathing Easy in Life
The subtitle for this retreat is “How to Keep the Elephant off of Your Air Hose”. We explore the things that crushed our lives and cause us to gasp for air. Then comes the fun part of figuring out how to clear our air hoses so that the Spirit of God can breathe God’s breath into us without restrition.
The Power of Prayer
From the variety of prayers in Scripture we learn what prayer is. Then, we practice praying together. Many types of prayers are experienced; vocal, meditative and contemplative. As we spend time talking about our experiences of prayer there is also an opportunity to look at the many things that become obstacles to prayer.
The Big Picture
To grow and mature in Christ it is important to utilize vision, intention and means. Dallas Willard uses this acronym VIM in his book The Divine Conspiracy. The vision is God’s vision for humanity, the intention is our choice to live in God’s vision and the means are the disciplines that help us keep our intention. We spend time exploring and personalizing each of the aspects of VIM.
Living as Kingdom People
We look at the three kingdoms, the kingdom of the world, the kingdom of God and our personal kingdom or queendom. This retreat helps people align their personal kingdom with the kingdom of God and explores the temptations that are present in the kingdom of the world. The goal is to learn how to live like Jesus would if he were you.
